Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting an Electrical (EICA) Design Engineer to join the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA).
The 330km Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) Project by Anglian Water is under construction, with an additional 260km of pipelines planned for delivery in AMP8.
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about contributing to one of the UK’s most ambitious water infrastructure projects? The SPA is seeking an Electrical (EICA) Design Engineer to support our project delivery team.
What will you be doing?
You will be embedded within the SPA team, responsible for project design outputs, information flow, and approach consistency. Your role includes monitoring workload, liaising with various leads, and producing detailed electrical design elements.
You will deliver robust, innovative, and optimized designs, acting as a proactive problem-solver, and be responsible for electrical deliverables for potable water pumping stations and reservoirs.
Key responsibilities:
* Producing and checking single line diagrams, DNO supply applications, generator system specs, MCC specs, Electrical Installation Specs, System Architecture Diagrams, and more.
* Contributing to process control, intelligent P&IDs, 3D models, HAZOP and LOPA studies.
* Reporting to the SPA EICA Discipline Lead, collaborating with supply chain and delivery teams.
* Developing technical solutions from concept to construction and handover.
* Embracing digital transformation, including creating a Digital Twin.
* Coordinating the production of construction drawings in CAD, BIM, GIS; supporting digital delivery.
* Providing technical support in client meetings.
Skills, experience, and behaviours:
* Experience in water industry design, especially in design and build projects.
* Experience in witness testing and instrumentation/control system design.
* Knowledge of BS7671 (latest edition).
