We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bromley to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Assistant, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.11 - £16.94 per hour

Summary:

The Safeguarding Business Support Assistant provides essential administrative and customer service support to the Childrens Social Care team. The role ensures the seamless delivery of high-quality, customer-focused support services. It involves responding to enquiries, processing transactions, preparing documentation, and maintaining accurate records to facilitate the safeguarding responsibilities of the department.

Responsibilities:

* Respond to enquiries via phone, email, fax, in person, and post in a professional and timely manner.
* Actively listen and assess customer needs, providing accurate and current information.
* Process transactions (e.g., payments, bookings, debtors/creditors) and perform banking duties when required.
* Create and distribute information packs, documents, and reports using Council IT systems.
* Maintain stock control, including ordering, checking, and distributing supplies.

Qualifications:

* ICS Bronze Award (or willingness to obtain).

Knowledge:

* Broad understanding of Council services and current issues (or willingness to learn).
* Knowledge of equal opportunities and how it applies to service delivery.
* Familiarity with or ability to learn Council IT and telephony systems.

Experience:

* Experience handling public enquiries in a diverse, multicultural setting.
* Proven background in telephone-based customer service.
* Experience in using IT systems to manage and retrieve data.

* You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
* You should have right to work in U.K
