Were working with a energy group looking to appoint an experienced IT Manager to lead infrastructure and IT operations across their London office, with oversight of additional international locations. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategy, project delivery, and day-to-day operational management, ideal for someone who enjoys owning an IT function end-to-end.
The Role
Youll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems and networks, while also partnering with senior leadership to shape and deliver the wider IT strategy.
Alongside this, youll play a key role in infrastructure projects, vendor management, and business continuity planning across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead IT operations across London and international offices, ensuring high availability and performance of all systems
* Own and evolve the network architecture, ensuring it remains scalable, secure, and aligned to business needs
* Deliver key infrastructure and transformation projects, including office relocations and upgrades
* Act as the escalation point for technical issues, providing hands-on support where required
* Manage and optimise third-party vendors and outsourced IT services, ensuring SLA performance
* Drive improvements across cyber security, data protection, and IT governance
* Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
* Oversee IT asset lifecycle management, including procurement, inventory, and refresh planning
* Monitor and control IT spend, ensuring cost-effective and efficient service delivery
* Support and upskill end users through training and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience Required
* Strong experience in a hands-on IT Manager / Infrastructure Manager role
* Proven background across Microsoft environments (Azure, M365, Azure AD, Intune, Defender)
* Solid experience with Windows Server (2016-2022/25) and virtualisation (Hyper-V)
* Networking expertise, ideally with Cisco / Meraki technologies
* Experience managing third-party vendors and IT service providers
* Track record delivering infrastructure projects and system improvements
* Strong understanding of cyber security best practices and IT governance
* Experience with API integrations, ERP/ETRM systems, or Dynamics 365 Business Central
