Role Description
We are seeking a commercially driven and detail-oriented Commercial Manager to take full ownership of the commercial and contractual lifecycle—from initial enquiry through to final account. You will undertake all commercial activities including estimating, contract negotiation, cost management, procurement, and cash flow—ensuring projects are delivered profitably, compliantly, and with minimal risk.
What you’ll be doing:
• Undertaking all commercial and contractual aspects across multiple projects
• Tenders, estimating, and pricing strategies to optimise margins
• Cost control, risk management, and procurement including sub-contractors
• Handling variations, valuations, and final accounts
• Driving cash flow and ensuring timely payments
• Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years’ experience in QS / Commercial roles with a UK main contractor
• Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
• A confident negotiator with sharp commercial awareness
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused
• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growing business
Qualifications
* BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (MRICS or working toward is ideal)
* Strong expertise in Commercial Management and Contract Management
* Proven ability in Business Planning and Analytical Skills to drive data-informed strategies
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Experience managing full lifecycle of construction projects and familiar with fire safety
* Experience with compliance and regulatory standards in safety and construction industries
Salary
Up to £100k DOE with OTE of £120k
