Job Description
Can you combine great administrative, organisational and managerial skills with sensitivity to the needs of vulnerable people?
You'll put your skills to work, overseeing and planning a large staffing timetable in our Oxford provisions, ensuring changes are made instantly to staff daily timetable so that we have the right people at the right time to support people with learning disabilities and/or autism in education.
Reporting to the Programme Manager, you’ll be liaising with staff, the people we support, their families and College partners to know everyone's needs and support levels, taking into account staff sickness and annual leave.
Working closely with Programme co-coordinators, you'll also be overseeing day to day operational issues of the provision and reporting serious issues to the correct manager. This includes operating the daily on call system and taking calls from 7am each morning and mapping out how to reallocate staffing on our in house timetabling system which you will receive full training on.
Other Tasks Will Include
* Dealing with parent phone calls in the day if related to operational matters
* Ensuring risk assessments are taken into consideration when allocating staff to learners
* Ensuring correct staffing levels are met
* Communicating / publishing/ planning staff timetable weekly in a timely manner.
This role is full-time (38 hrs) and you will work Monday to Friday, 7am- 3pm during Term- time (46.6 weeks) although some flexibility will be necessary on occasion.
About You
You must be a good communicator and able to work under pressure, able to:
* Work on your own initiative as well as being part of a team
* Be well organised and able to prioritise
* Have great attention to detail
* Work well under pressure, able to react quickly
* Have excellent IT skills, including MS Office .
