Overview
The applicant should understand the uniqueness of older people and be able to work within an inter-professional team to deliver a rehabilitative service that meets patient needs. Previous experience as a health care assistant in an inpatient setting is required for this role. Intermediate Care interventions are designed to prevent the need for acute services for older people and support holistic assessment and rehabilitation to achieve this aim.
Induction and probation
We place a high value on welcoming and inducting new starters. All new starters join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation. New starters will have opportunities to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend drop-in sessions focused on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period: This post is subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from probation unless currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff.
Compensation and eligibility
High Cost Area Supplement: This post attracts a payment of 5% of the basic salary (minimum £1,258 and maximum £2,122 per annum pro rata).
