Overview of the role
We are seeking a motivated and professional Financial Accountant to join our Finance and Business Intelligence team.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality services aligned with NOCN's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day transactional finance (sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank)
* Prepare draft financial statements and support year-end audit
* Oversee cash flow, bank reconciliations, and financial controls
* Supervise and support finance team performance and development
* Review ledgers, payments, and debt; ensure accuracy and timely processing
* Maintain financial policies, procedures, and reporting (KPIs, month-end)
* Handle escalations and support ad-hoc finance projects
About You
* Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent experience
* Strong financial systems and reporting experience
* Background in preparing financial statements and improving processes
* Strong analytical, Excel, and communication skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Proactive, organised, and able to meet deadlines
* Team player with leadership/management ability
* Values-driven, adaptable, and professional
* Willing to travel (UK)
