Our Aberdeen facility is seeking a Packing Chargehand to help drive production efficiency and uphold our commitment to quality and safety.
As a Packing Chargehand, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our packing operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead by example, maintaining high standards and supporting your team to meet production targets.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining health & safety, hygiene, and quality standards throughout the packing department
* Operating and maintaining tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
* Inspecting and evaluating product suitability for packaging according to company and customer specifications
* Supporting the planning, monitoring, and control of resources to meet production targets
* Managing waste and ensuring compliance with environmental standards
* Completing duties within required timescales to achieve daily production goals
* Contributing to the training and development of team members and self
* Monitoring department housekeeping, tidiness, and fabric maintenance
* Carrying out additional duties as directed by the Production Manager or Directors
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in a high-volume food processing factory
* Experience in a packing or production leadership role (such as chargehand, line leader, or supervisor) within a manufacturing environment
* Work experience in food production or meat processing manufacturing environments
* Ability to work in a chilled environment
* Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely
* Food Safety certification
* Fluent English (written and spoken)
* Right to work in the United Kingdom
* Availability to start work at 6:00am and flexibility for variable finishing times
