Salary: £24,545 per annum Contract: Permanent About the role At North Wales Housing, our community cleaners play a vital role in helping our residents feel safe, comfortable and proud of where they live. We’re looking for a Community Cleaner to provide a reliable, high‑quality cleaning service across our housing schemes, offices and communal areas. You’ll be out and about in the community, keeping shared spaces clean, tidy and welcoming, and helping to spot issues early so they can be dealt with promptly. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys making a visible difference every day. What you’ll be doing Cleaning communal areas across housing schemes, including: Stairs, hallways and landings Shared facilities and entrances Internal windows and door glass Removing rubbish and dog fouling Keeping bin areas clean, tidy and accessible for collection days Wiping down handrails and communal surfaces Monitoring cleaning stock and requesting supplies when needed Reporting issues such as fly‑tipping, abandoned items or health & safety concerns Liaising regularly with your Supervisor or Service Manager Treating residents and colleagues with respect at all times About you You’ll be dependable, friendly and committed to doing a good job. You’ll need: A positive, “can‑do” attitude Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean spaces Awareness of basic health and safety practices Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Good communication skills when dealing with residents and colleagues Willingness to carry out physical duties, including manual handling A full UK driving licence Willingness to complete a Basic DBS check Why work with North Wales Housing?
