:You will be working closely with the team Director and supporting the project lead. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of design / drawing production to assist in the technical delivery of projects. Additionally, you will:
1. Collaborate with the team, delegate tasks and communicate effectively
2. Mentor junior colleagues; provide technical advice and guidance
3. Attend and contribute to project/ client meetings
4. Assist with site inspections and surveys as required
5. Undertake design tasks based on expert technical knowledge
6. Oversee and maintain high-quality technical design output
7. Establish and maintain good relationships with external project team members and clients
8. Recognise and manage cost/ time and budget implications and also support in preparing fee proposals
9. Produce detailed technical output using design models and expert knowledge
10. Validate design models and calculations and contribute to technical specifications and reports
11. Manage drawing production and ensuring BIM protocols are adhered to
Who we’re looking for:
12. Relevant degree (ideally an accredited Masters Degree with ICE/ IStructE) in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent Level 6 qualification
13. Ideally Chartered or Incorporated with relevant professional body or working towards Chartership
14. Ideally a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience
15. Competent in relevant drawing, modelling and experienced in the application of relevant design software
16. Strong technical knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
17. Good commercial awareness and project management skills and experience
18. Manage continuous professional development and stay updated on legislation
19. Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent written and verbal communication skills
