Invicta Grammar School is a highly respected school that has an exciting opportunity to build on the achievements of a very successful and creative Music Department.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teacher to join our very popular and innovative Music Department. You will be willing to work hard and be fully committed to making a difference to our students’ futures.
This post would be suitable for an experienced or newly qualified talented teacher who is a dedicated, and ambitious team player with a passion for teaching Music, not just in the classroom, but also enjoys preparing students for activities outside of lessons.
We have over 300 students partaking in a range of activities, including choirs, school orchestra, string orchestra, wind and big band, guitar ensemble, and rock and pop bands. The department features regularly in the cultural life of the school, with a wide range of events including the Autumn, Spring and Summer concerts, an Advent Service, the school production, ‘Spotlight’ concerts, and performances at Leeds Castle.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Music teaching to students, contributing to the development of a dynamic and engaging Music Department.
* Support and contribute to the school’s musical activities beyond the classroom (e.g., choirs, orchestras, ensembles, concerts and events).
* Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum and to develop opportunities for student achievement across the department.
* Be willing to participate in the school’s broader activities and share in the drive for excellence in care, education and opportunities.
* Support new staff and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
Qualifications
* Qualified teacher with a passion for teaching Music; suitable for experienced or newly qualified teachers.
* A team player with ambition and commitment to student outcomes.
* Willingness to prepare students for activities outside of lessons and contribute to departmental activities.
