Job summary
The post holder works in Health Courier Services (HCS) Operations, supporting the coordinated delivery of HCS and Supply Chain (SC) services to ensure they meet contractual agreements.
They liaise closely with the HCS Controller/Scheduler, external contacts, and clinical departments at hospitals, GP surgeries, clinics, day centres, nursing homes, and Blood Banks. The post holder also supports the efficient day-to-day operations of HCS, SC, and Laundry services, maintaining links with Day Control services. They are the first operational point of contact for inquiries related to logistics transport in the area. Close liaison with all parties is essential to provide high-quality transport services.
Main duties of the job
The Health Courier Service transports non-patient items such as pathology samples, medical equipment, medical records, blood, and blood products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and developing team.
