About This Role
We are seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team, who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people living in residential care.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Supporting children and young people with daily routines, personal development, and emotional well-being.
* Leading shifts and supervising junior staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care is delivered.
* Providing a stable and safe environment that promotes positive behaviour and independence.
* Assisting with care planning, safeguarding responsibilities, and record-keeping in line with regulatory standards.
* Acting as a mentor and role model, promoting trust, respect, and positive relationships.
* Collaborating with professionals, families, and external agencies to support each child's journey.
Key Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Health and Social Care – essential.
* Minimum of 1 year's experience in a residential setting supporting children or young people.
* A caring, confident, and resilient individual with a genuine passion for helping others.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
* Flexibility to work on a rota including sleep-ins, evenings, and weekends.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
