Salary: £26,233 - £27,263 (Actual Salary) / £30,288 - £31,611 (Full-Time Equivalent)
Contract: 36 hours per week, Term Time plus one week (39 weeks total)

Are you a skilled and enthusiastic technician with a passion for design and technology?
We are a highly-regarded 11-18 school, seeking a dedicated DT Technician to join our supportive and dynamic department. Our state-of-the-art facilities, new as of 2022, include multiple workshops, computer suites, and dedicated areas for 3D printing and laser cutting.
About the Role:
As a DT Technician, you will be crucial to the smooth running of our Design & Technology department. Your primary role will be to provide technical support to both staff and students, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing resources and equipment for lessons across a range of materials, including woods, metals, and plastics.
* Setting up, maintaining, and supervising the safe use of all workshop equipment and machinery.
* Operating and maintaining new technologies, such as laser cutters and 3D printers.
* Managing stock levels and ordering supplies for the department.
* Assisting teachers and students during practical lessons.
What We Are Looking For:
* A candidate with practical experience and competence in a workshop environment.
* Knowledge of a variety of machinery and tools is essential.
* Experience with laser cutting and 3D printing is highly desirable.
* A background in basic engineering or mechanics would be a significant advantage.
* Previous experience in a school setting is beneficial, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
