A full-time leadership opportunity is available for an experienced SEND professional to manage a high-performing Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) team. This pivotal role ensures statutory compliance with the 20-week assessment timeline and oversees the production of high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) that reflect the aspirations and needs of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead operational management of the SEN Assessment team.
* Ensure delivery of a compliant EHC pathway aligned with statutory frameworks.
* Chair decision-making panels and ensure transparent, lawful outcomes.
* Champion inclusive education and support children with SEND in achieving their potential.
* Foster strong relationships with families and promote a customer-focused culture.
* Maintain collaborative partnerships with schools and early support networks.
* Oversee statutory SEND functions and ensure quality assurance of EHCPs.
* Deliver robust data analysis and contribute to statutory reporting (e.g., DfE returns, inspection frameworks).
* Coordinate multi-agency input and facilitate SEND panels.
* Ensure efficient processes for data entry, case transitions, and compliance.
* Manage caseloads and support team members in maintaining high standards.
* Line manage staff, address performance issues, and coordinate training and development.
* Stay current with national/local legislation and initiate service improvements accordingly.
Candidate Profile
* Extensive experience in SEND operations within a local authority setting.
* Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and Children and Families Act 2014.
* Proven leadership in managing assessment teams and statutory processes.
* Skilled in stakeholder engagement, multi-agency coordination, and tribunal support.
* Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI) and performance reporting.
* Capable of driving service improvements and leading change initiatives.
* Must meet the spoken language requirements outlined in Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.

Pay: £44,246.00-£50,076.00 per year
