Key responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons that inspire and challenge all pupils
* Plan and teach a broad and ambitious curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Develop pupils’ reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills
* Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress in line with academy expectations
* Provide effective feedback to support continuous improvement
* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour for learning
* Support the progress of all pupils, including those with SEND and those at risk of underachievement
* Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
* Participate fully in enrichment opportunities and wider school life
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and raise standards
* Undertake form tutor responsibilities, supporting pupils’ personal development and wellbeing
