The appointment may lead to career progression to the post of Playleader (£30,492 - £32,942 per annum, pro rata, inclusive of Distance Islands Allowance).
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement for this regulated role. The salary quoted includes the Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.

Responsibilities
* With support, plan a curriculum through the medium of Gaelic that supports, guides, and develops children’s all-round learning and development.
* Plan and organise play sessions, taking into account the needs of each child.
* Contribute to the overall learning environment and collaborate with colleagues to meet each pupil’s needs.
* Interact with pupils and families in accordance with the role and responsibilities, including liaising with teams and participating in the assessment and planning process.
* Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and supportive approach in all interactions with children, families, and staff.
* Contribute to the team and be prepared to assist as needed to support service delivery.
Qualifications
* Proven childcare experience working with young children and their families in an early years setting.
* A qualification that meets the Scottish Social Services Council requirements for Practitioners.
* Fluency in Gaelic (speaking and reading) is essential.
* Legal eligibility to work and compliance with PVG scheme requirements for roles involving children.

It is expected that the appointed candidate will be supported to obtain the qualifications and experience required to enable career progression to Playleader (£30,492 - £32,942 per annum, pro rata, inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance).
