A long-established building services consultancy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding team. With over two decades of experience, this firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical design solutions across private sector clients, includingmercial, retail, industrial, residential, and hospitality. Operating under an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) model, this consultancy fosters a collaborative and inclusive culture where every team member plays a role in shaping the future of the business.
This role offers a 4-day working week, providing greater flexibility and work-life balance while maintaining full-time pay and benefits.
Your new role
1. Design and specification of sustainable and cost-effective mechanical systems
2. Site visits for appraisals, surveys, and condition reports
3. Ensuring mechanical systems meet performance, efficiency, and regulatory standards
4. Preparation of technical documentation including schedules, drawings, and reports
5. HVAC system design, domestic water services, and drainage layouts
6. Delivery of high-quality work with strong attention to detail
What you'll need to succeed
7. Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical building services design, either with a consultancy or contractor.
8. Proficiency in MEP Revit and CAD
9. Level 4 qualification in a building services or mechanical engineering-related discipline
10. Strong verbal and writtenmunication skills
11. Excellent attention to detail and time management
12. Analytical thinker with effective problem-solving abilities
13. Collaborative team player
14. Full UK Driving Licence
