We are looking for a Player Development Manager to play a key role in shaping the holistic experience of players across the Scotland Women’s National Team and wider performance pathways. This is a unique opportunity to positively impact elite athletes’ wellbeing, growth, and long‑term success, both on and beyond the field.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of our player development and welfare programmes for Scotland Women’s rugby. Your work will include:
* Programme Leadership & Delivery
* Player Support & Transitions
* Education & Awareness
What We Are Looking For
* Proven experience in player welfare, wellbeing, education, or personal development—ideally within elite sport, preferably rugby and/or women’s sport.
* High emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust, show empathy, and support players through complex environments.
* Exceptional communication skills, ensuring clear, effective, and inclusive interactions.
* Strong organisational and programme‑management ability, including planning, delivery, and evaluation.
* Relationship‑building strengths, enabling honest, supportive, and impactful connections with players and colleagues
