An outstanding permanent position for a Contract Manager has arisen with a top-tier Aerospace / Engineering organisation based in Uxbridge, West London / Middlesex.
As a Contract Manager focused with the Indian market, you will work as part of the Commercial department. You’ll be responsible for driving and managing a team to deliver account management of allocated customer accounts, encompassing major bid and proposal preparation, pricing structures and terms and conditions of work.
Key components of the role include conducting complex negotiations, ensuring contract management administration, and senior customer relationship management. You’ll build mutually beneficial relationships with existing clients across the Indian region.
Experience of contract negotiation in the Indian market / region is essential. This is a great opportunity for a Contracts Senior / Lead to step up to a managerial position.
Responsibilities - Contract Manager (India)
* Team Leadership: You'll lead and manage a team to deliver on all aspects of account management.
* Account & Relationship Management: You'll oversee allocated customer accounts, manage senior client relationships, and build mutually beneficial partnerships, especially with clients across the Indian region.
* Commercial & Contract Management: You'll be responsible for major bid and proposal preparation, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring all contract administration is handled smoothly.
* You'll be responsible for navigating complex contractual terms and conditions, procurement practices, and export control regulations.
* Complex Negotiations: You'll lead and conduct complex negotiations to secure new business and manage existing contracts.
* Compliance: You'll navigate complex contractual terms, procurement practices, and export control regulations to ensure full compliance.
Skills & experience - Contract Manager (India)
* Commercial & Contract Management: Use your seasoned knowledge of commercial and contract processes within the aerospace and defense sectors, including bid management, pricing techniques, and an understanding of international exchange rates.
* Team Leadership: Apply your established supervisory skills to lead and coach your team, driving commercial success and ensuring your direct reports achieve their best results.
* Regional Expertise: Utilize your experience in managing contract negotiations and customer relationships across the Indian/APAC region.
* Customer & Communication Skills: Leverage your excellent presentation and communication skills to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
