A caring and community-driven secondary school on the outskirts of Hereford is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join its pastoral team from January 2026. About the Role You will play a vital role in maintaining high levels of student attendance, liaising closely with pastoral leads, families and external agencies. Your responsibilities will include: Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality using the school MIS Making first-day absence calls and logging outcomes Producing weekly and termly attendance reports for leaders Organising attendance meetings and supporting attendance action plans Working with vulnerable students alongside the safeguarding team Supporting reward initiatives that promote excellent attendance The School Rated Good by Ofsted, the school is known for its nurturing ethos and effective pastoral systems. The attendance team works within a refurbished pastoral centre with strong links to safeguarding, behaviour support and external partners.
