Maths Tutor – Helping Learners Build Confidence and Reach Their Potential
Location: South Tyneside
TP Tutors are seeking passionate and dedicated Maths Tutors to provide one-to-one tuition and help pupils develop confidence, understanding, and success in mathematics. You’ll be supporting a diverse range of learners, including those with SEND needs, EOTAS placements, and pupils who may have experienced disruption to their education.
Your responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver individualised maths sessions tailored to each learner’s needs and goals.
* Support with homework, revision, and exam preparation for KS3 and KS4 pupils.
* Use our digital tracking system to record and monitor progress effectively.
* Foster a positive attitude towards learning, encouraging perseverance and self-belief.
What we’re looking for:
* Strong knowledge and experience of the KS3 and KS4 UK maths curriculum.
* Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, ideally including work with SEND learners.
* Ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts and engage reluctant learners.
* QTS in maths or an equivalent tutoring background.
* A Child-Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).
