Having vast experience in a range of sectors, from small retail refurbishments to large-scale multi-million-pound M&E contracts.
Your new role
Your main purpose ofthe role is the design of electrical engineering for building services.
In this role, you willbe:
1. Providing supervision including mentoring/coaching/development and performance management for a small team of Engineers.
2. Planning and executing agreed plans
3. Delivery ofplex engineering solutions to agreed time scales and budgets
4. Attend design team meetings, working with the wider client team to deliver projects
5. Provide technical support for discussion with clients and suppliers
6. Provide technical support and guidance for installation andmissioning activities
7. Surveying and reporting on electrical systems in buildings
8. Prepare technical specifications and drawings using industry-standard software
9. Undertaking design calculations
10. Design electrical installations to meet British Standards
11. Developing design proposals at sketch, detailed design and production stages
12. Preparing tender documentation and reports
You will need toundertake other duties as may be required to achieve objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have electrical design experience.
You will need:
13. Minimum 6 years’ experience within a building services design role
14. HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in Building Services or related subject
15. Experience in design software AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Relux, Dialux
16. Experience contributing to design team meetings
17. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
18. Excellentmunication skills, both written and verbal
19. To be willing to travel
The ideal candidate would also have, but is notessential:
20. Chartered Engineering status
21. Affiliation with industry recognised bodies
22. Experience within IES but not essential
23. A good understanding of current regulations, particularly the Part L Building Regulations and the changing environment
