The Performing Arts department has a highly skilled and committed team of staff who use a wide variety of teaching and assessment methods for students following Vocational programmes. We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and student-centred teacher of Music who can contribute to a successful curriculum area and take specific responsibility for leading on and developing the Level 3 Performing Arts, Music Performance course for vocational and A level students. The successful candidates will have opportunity to teach a range of units across all levels. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Music Performance Course Leader to join our vibrant arts department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and overseeing engaging and high-quality music programs. This role includes managing course content, developing curricula, and providing both academic and creative support to students. As a leader, you will inspire and mentor students, helping them to develop their performance skills in live performance, increase ability through multi instrumental tuition, and deliver projects on the history of music industry, career planning, composition and music theory. You will also collaborate with faculty to ensure a cohesive, innovative approach to learning and guide students through practical and theoretical aspects of music. The successful candidate will have a passion for live music, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of current industry trends. Applicants should have a proven track record of professional work within the industry, instrumental disciplines and an in-depth knowledge of music theory, as well as experience of production software (particularly Logic Pro X) and recording studio technology.
