The Residential Support Worker in this role will play a vital part in creating a nurturing environment that promotes recovery, resilience, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
* Build trusting, nurturing relationships that support the service user’s wellbeing and independence
* Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for young people
* Contribute to the daily running of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment
* Accurately document all relevant information and keep records up to date
* Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable children and young people
* Promote a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment at all times
Requirements
* Must hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to achieve this within the required timeframe
* Motivated by a desire to positively impact young people’s lives and support their recovery journey
* Good understanding of safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children and young people
* Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep‑ins, weekends, and bank holidays
* Relevant experience working with children and young people is desirable but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key
