What You'll Be Doing as a Mechanical Project Engineer Designing mechanical and process systems for packaging and production lines Managing suppliers, tender analysis and cost control Overseeing site installation, commissioning and performance trials Ensuring compliance with CDM, PUWER and Machinery Directive legislation Experience We Value Mechanical process systems for manufacturing, production, process or logistics Palletisers, case packers and conveyor systems Bespoke or special purpose machinery Capital equipment, mechanical handlling systems and automation systems What We're Looking For Background in mechanical engineering (Degree, HNC or HND) Experience in project engineering, design engineering or CapEx delivery Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD design and modelling Valid UK driving licence (as UK Travel Required) Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills What's On Offer Salary: Up to £60,000 £5,000 car allowance Location: Burton-on-Trent (Hybrid: 2-3 days/week in office) Benefits: 4% employer pension contribution BUPA private healthcare Cycle to Work and EV schemes Death in Service (3x salary) Simply Health Working Away Allowance Location & Commutability This role is based in Burton-on-Trent and is commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Loughborough, Tamworth, Lichfield, East/North Birmingham, Cannock, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Uttoxeter, Swadlincote, Nuneaton and Hinckley (circa 60 mins drive).
