Business Development Manager – Energy Brokerage
A growing UK-based energy brokerage is looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition.
This role is suited to someone who genuinely enjoys winning new clients. You will be given the freedom to build your own pipeline, open doors, and convert opportunities without being tied to account management responsibilities.
The Role
* Identify and win new SME and mid-market clients within the commercial energy space
* Generate your own leads through outbound activity, networking, and referrals
* Run consultative sales conversations with business owners and decision makers
* Negotiate and close energy contracts across electricity and gas
* Manage your pipeline from first contact through to deal completion
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding
The Profile
* Proven background in new business sales, ideally within energy brokerage or professional services
* Strong hunter mentality with a track record of self-generated revenue
* Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and business owners
* Commercially minded, driven, and resilient
* Comfortable working autonomously in a performance-led environment
