The Payroll Specialist (Temp) will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing within the accounting and finance department. This position requires strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to handling payroll tasks in the business services industry.

Description
Provide payroll services to portfolio of clients varying in size and complexity
Process payrolls on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly basis (or as directed)
Process starters and leavers, calculating statutory payments, RTI submissions, pension deductions etc.
Set up PAYE scheme with HMRC and cease schemes when needed
Act as primary contact with HMRC for all PAYE related matters
Calculating auto enrolment pension deductions and ensuring compliance
Uploading pension contributions and starters to appropriate pension portals
BACS files submission
Submit HMRC RTI information, FPS and EPS ensuring deadlines are met
Preparation of P45s, P60s, Starter Declarations and other relevant forms as required
Liaise directly with clients to ensure accuracy of payroll data and answer phone queries, resolve problems and provide payroll support
Communicate with clients, other staff, Directors and the HM Revenue & Customs
Support clients in the day to day running of payroll systemsProfile
A successful Payroll Specialist (Temp) should have:
Previous experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
Familiarity with payroll software and accounting systems.
A solid understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws in the UK.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
