We have an exciting opportunity for energetic, reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our our new Independent Specialist School, located just outside of Worcester.
Are you passionate about reaching pupils unable to access mainstream education due to anxiety, SEND, challenging behaviour or other mental health difficulties?
We are looking for individuals that can add to our mission to engage those who are disengaged, isolated, hard to reach, disadvantaged and who have Special Educational Needs in learning interventions that will develop confidence, self-esteem, resilience and skills and experiences needed to embrace life-long learning, making sure every person feels individually valued. Students are helped to develop into confident and successful individuals, who are responsible.
The successful candidate requires the following:
* Experience of working with young people with SEND, challenging behaviour and/or ASD.
* Reliable and committed as we work on allocated ratio's with the children, so reliability is key.
* Behaviour management skills
* Engaging with students 1:1 and small group mentoring/support
* Be motivated and creative with ideas and activities to engage our young people.
* 2 years mentoring/support experience in the UK (desirable)
* Possibility of flexible working hours and contracts.
