About the role
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will deliver quality Waitrose products and provide Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. When not on deliveries, you will support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's smooth operation.
Note: You must be 18 or older to apply for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Start your day in-store, check your delivery routes, and prepare your van for deliveries.
* Ensure all vehicle safety checks are completed, maintaining road safety and compliance.
* Represent the Waitrose brand on the road, prioritizing excellent customer service.
* Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
* Support shop tasks as needed, including general shopkeeping.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Full valid UK manual driving license (category B) with no more than 6 points.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
* IT literate.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles, is advantageous.
Work hours are varied, totaling 37.5 hours across seven days, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
