We are looking for PDI Technicians to join our client’s busy bodyshop operation in Bishop Auckland. This role is ideal for someone with a background in vehicle inspections or PDI, looking to work within a fast-paced automotive environment preparing vehicles to a high standard.
The Role:
Within this role, you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections and ensuring vehicles are ready for handover. Duties include:
1. Carrying out full PDI inspections on vehicles.
2. Topping up fluid levels where required.
3. Inspecting tyres (no tyre fitting required).
4. Completing air conditioning checks.
5. Conducting brake checks.
6. Carrying out pre and post diagnostic scans.
7. Road testing vehicles (approximately 10 miles per vehicle).
8. Ensuring all checks are completed to company and safety standards.
The Person:
9. Previous experience within a vehicle inspection or PDI role.
10. Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points for minor offences).
11. Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
12. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
13. Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
