Main Purpose of the Role
The Analytics Readiness & Enablement Manager is a transformational leadership role which promotes the effective use of analytics across the organisation to accelerate organisational data maturity and foster data-driven culture.
You will play a key role in both complimenting future change programs as well as launching and landing your own enablement initiatives. You will lead a multi-skilled team who both deliver analytics solutions (reports, dashboards and self-service datasets) as well as a range of enablement services, such as prototyping, upskilling and organising events. The role combines leadership and delivery – and as such, technical credibility is a must.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coach a diverse, multi-skilled team of data professionals with a wide and varied remit to accelerate the use of analytics across the business.
* Oversee the design and delivery of analytics reporting dashboards and visualisations using SQL and Power BI, with a focus on user experience and data storytelling.
* Prioritise demand (supported to by Head of Global Data Delivery) to ensure delivery is targeted at business areas who need these services the most whilst managing stakeholder expectations for delivery.
* Champion global consistency of data strategy and analytics ways of working, collaborating via Commercial Directors and other global stakeholder groups.
* Guide functional and regional Directors on how to establish and scale analytics teams. Play a role which convinces and influences how we develop a success data organisation across the business.
* Work with the Head of Data Strategy & Enablement to ensure our approach to Analytics Readiness marries with our Data Strategy
Key Relationships:
* Partner with our Principal Data Modeller to sponsor and promote the use of strong data warehouse practices - selling the benefits abstracted data models and the virtues of self-service analytics solutions.
* Partner with Architecture to guide our analytics tooling strategy, staying at the forefront of emerging industry trends to ensure our data community of 200+ can capitalise on technologies which will allow them to boost data decision making and improve the lives of customers.
* Partner with Learning & Development to ensure Power BI and Databricks training is woven into wider L&D offering to accelerate data understanding and confidence for all colleagues globally.
Skills Ability or Experience
Essential skills / Experience
* An understanding of applied maths, statistics, and data analytics.
* Experience leading team capable of manipulating and cleansing data and building compelling visualisations in Power BI.
* Experience working with stakeholders to refine requirements and design outputs.
* Mentoring or coaching experience.
* Able to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences in a succinct and accessible way.

* Strong organisational awareness combined with commercial acumen enabling you to align goals and initiatives to different business functions.
* Experience and an understanding how analytics can provide a benefit and demonstrate how this can impact the business commercially.
