Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Manager – Drive Quality in a High-Growth Clean Energy Company

We’re working with a pioneering UK-based energy company that’s pushing the boundaries of sustainable innovation. As a specialist in green hydrogen and low-carbon infrastructure, the organisation is playing a central role in the UK’s journey to Net Zero. Due to rapid growth and expanding project demands, they’re now seeking a QHSE Manager to strengthen their commitment to operational integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.
As the QHSE Manager, you’ll take the lead in developing, implementing, and maintaining best-in-class QHSE management systems. You’ll ensure alignment with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), embed a strong safety and quality culture, and provide strategic insight to leadership as the company scales its operations.
You’ll work across a variety of project and operational settings - from office-based coordination to on-site inspections - while supporting a fast-moving team of engineers, developers, and commercial specialists.
Develop and implement QHSE policies, systems, and procedures to meet ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
Conduct regular audits, site inspections, and compliance reviews
Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, driving corrective and preventative action
Oversee quality assurance of both management systems and technical outputs
Monitor and report on QHSE performance, risks, and trends to senior stakeholders
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and environmental legislation
Support risk management, emergency preparedness, and process safety initiatives
You’re a systems-thinker who’s proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about embedding a culture of quality and safety.
Degree in Process Engineering or a related field
Understanding of process safety management
Proficiency in incident reporting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement frameworks
Comfortable working across both office and project site environments
NEBOSH, IOSH, Lead Auditor)
Knowledge of risk management and emergency response planning
