We’re looking for an experienced Director of Service Operations to join a large, complex organisation on an initial 6 month contract.
The focus of this role is to stabilise and improve service operations, bring consistency where maturity varies, and set a clear direction for how services are designed, transitioned and run. You’ll be working in a scaled environment with multiple platforms, teams and delivery partners, so this suits someone comfortable operating in complexity and change.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading service operations across a large technology estate
* Assessing current maturity and putting a practical improvement plan in place
* Embedding service design, transition and management practices
* Improving service stability, quality and customer experience
* Leading internal teams and external suppliers
* Acting as a senior partner to technology and business leaders
What we’re looking for
* Previous experience at Head of or Director of Service Operations level
* Strong background improving service operations in low maturity or fast growth environments
* Hands on experience with service management and ITSM tools
* Confident, pragmatic and delivery focused
ITIL v4 certification and experience in complex or regulated environments is useful but not essential.
This is a high impact interim role with clear ownership and a strong chance of extension.
