Opportunity: Senior Manager – Defence (Supply Chain & Procurement)
Overview
Join PwC’s rapidly expanding Supply Chain and Procurement team, specialising in delivering transformative solutions for Defence clients. This senior‑level role focuses on driving innovation, delivering value, and excellence across Defence supply chains and procurement.
Responsibilities
* Strategy & Operating Model – Deliver supply chain and procurement transformation projects, design and implement strategy and operating models, including organisational structures, processes, systems and tools.
* Procurement – Develop and execute category strategies across indirect and direct categories throughout the procurement lifecycle, including category planning, opportunity assessment, negotiation, supplier and contract management.
* Cost Reduction – Conduct cost analysis to identify savings and efficiencies, develop cost‑management strategies aligned with client objectives, provide cost estimation and control expertise.
* Operations Improvement – Analyse current operations, identify improvement opportunities, develop and implement operational strategies, lead change management to adopt new processes and technologies.
* Digital Transformation – Guide clients through digital transformation, identify opportunities for automation, data analytics and advanced technologies, execute digital strategies that enhance capabilities and create competitive advantage.
* Client Engagement & Leadership – Build and maintain strong client relationships, act as trusted advisor, lead project teams, manage timelines, ensure deliverables meet quality standards, mentor junior consultants.
Qualifications
* Experience in Defence, with focus on supply chain, procurement, cost reduction, manufacturing, operations improvement, and digital transformation.
* Proven track record of delivering successful projects in consulting or industry.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, delivering data‑driven insights and recommendations.
* Strong negotiation skills with a record of significant cost reduction across the value chain.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies (ERP, data analytics, source‑to‑pay solutions).
* Willingness to travel as required to meet client needs.
