Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a Low Secure Mental Health Team in Blackburn, Lancashire. This ongoing role offers both part-time and full-time working options with a competitive hourly rate.
You will play a vital role in supporting service users through their rehabilitation journey, delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions within a multidisciplinary mental health setting.

What You Will Do
* Manage a defined caseload of service users within the Low Secure Service.
* Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualised care and treatment plans.
* Deliver 1:1 and group-based therapeutic interventions focusing on functional skills, daily living skills, emotional regulation, and vocational and community readiness.
* Contribute to risk assessments, care planning, CPA processes, and MDT reviews.
* Support service users to progress through rehabilitation pathways towards greater independence and step-down services.
* Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
* Work collaboratively with nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and support staff.
* Provide clinical guidance and supervision to Band 5 OTs, OT assistants, and support staff where required.
* Participate in service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Ensure practice complies with HCPC, COT, and organisational policies and procedures.
