What the Job Involves This role involves managing a varied caseload concerning adult social care. You will handle Court of Protection proceedings, DOLs, and safeguarding matters, providing expert legal advice on mental health, education, homelessness, and judicial reviews. Working closely with client officers, you will support their business goals and council priorities, attending committee meetings as required. You will take part in occasional evening meetings and may also need to provide cover for team members. Additionally, you will mentor and train colleagues across the Council, supporting managers and contributing to service improvements. Skills Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX 2 years post-qualification experience in relevant legal areas Strong understanding of adult social care law and procedure Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficient in case management and client care Legal research and documentation drafting Advocacy skills Collaboration and mentorship abilities
