Main Duties: (Full Training Provided)
1. Assist in the preparation and service of cuisine to the highest standards.
2. Develop a thorough understanding of menus, terminology, and dietary requirements.
3. Present dishes with creativity and attention to detail, delivering the “Wow Factor”.
4. Support stock control, rotation, and reporting procedures.
5. Apply knowledge gained through NVQ training to practical kitchen tasks.
6. Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu ideas.
7. Maintain health and safety standards, including COSHH and diligence training.
8. Participate in training and service initiatives to enhance your skills and the overall operation.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
9. A confident and enthusiastic approach with a strong desire to learn.
10. GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
11. A genuine passion for cooking and hospitality.
12. Good communication and organisational skills.
13. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.
14. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Hours of Work:
15. 39 hours per week worked on a rota to include some weekends.
Salary:
16. Age 16-18 £8.20 per hour
17. Age 19-20 £9.94 per hour
18. Age 21+ £10.53 per hour
19. You may be entitled to salary increases throughout your employment with the business.
