Overview
Abbey College Cambridge is seeking a Health & Safety and Facilities Co‑ordinator to support the effective running of our College campus and four boarding accommodation sites.
Reporting to the College Facilities Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our sites are safe, compliant and well‑maintained, working closely with contractors, colleagues and external providers. This is a varied, hands‑on role combining facilities administration, health and safety coordination and practical on‑site problem‑solving.
Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
* Coordinating health and safety checks, compliance records and statutory inspections
* Acting as a point of contact for contractors, landlords and third‑party site managers
* Maintaining accurate logs for fire safety, first aid, emergency exits and site checks
* Managing facilities communications and supporting exam room setups
* Supporting safeguarding procedures, including escorting contractors where required
Qualifications and Experience
You will be well‑organised, have excellent attention to detail and enjoy working in a busy educational environment. Strong communication skills and confidence using Microsoft Office are essential.
