An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Re-engagement, English and Maths Department for an experienced, highly motivated, and skilled Programme Area Manager in Maths. Applicants are invited from an educational department and course management background within Further Education or similar educational/training environment.
The successful applicant will manage Functional Skills Maths for study programme students across the College to support progression towards L2 Functional Skills Maths and GCSE Maths. Experience of both Functional and GCSE Maths is desirable.
We are looking for an individual with strong digital skills and the ability to lead curriculum innovation, supported by a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
The Programme Area Manager (PAM) role will include working closely with the Director of Curriculum, the GCSE Maths PAM and other PAM's across the College as well as the wider department teaching team.
The PAM will manage, plan and monitor programmes to maximise resources, funding and learner outcomes, while driving growth in all our programmes including, HE and commercial training.
The PAM will be responsible for programmes of learning and training, ensuring learner progress is tracked and maintained on College IT systems, retention/achievement levels are maintained and improved in line with college targets. As part of continuous improvement, the PAM will develop and implement systems/processes and other improvements to support the management of learning.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of managing and delivering high quality teaching and learning within the FE sector (or equivalent), along with experience of developing course provision.
Knowledge and experience of IV processes are essential, together with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators.

Essential Qualifications:
· A bachelor's degree level (or equivalent) in the relevant subject
· A full teaching qualification at level 5 or above
· Level 2 in English and Math (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above, or equivalent)
