Our London presence supports the UK A&D community with specification guidance, sampling, and project support.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated and design-focused Specification Assistant to join our London team. This is a dual-role position combining specification support with external sales activity.
The successful candidate will regularly visit architects and interior designers across London, promoting Abet Laminati products, supporting live projects, and developing long-term relationships within the A&D community.
This role is ideally suited to:
A recent graduate in interior design, architecture, or a related discipline, or a showroom manager looking to transition into specification sales and develop deeper technical and commercial skills.
Key Responsibilities
Visit architects and designers to introduce and present Abet Laminati collections
Provide technical guidance on laminate applications and performance
Track and follow up on project opportunities
Assist with specifications and technical documentation
Coordinate and follow up on sample requests to ensure timely delivery and project conversion
Maintain accurate CRM records of meetings, opportunities, and pipeline activity
Build and maintain strong relationships with architecture and design practices
Identify new business opportunities within target accounts
Support the wider sales team in converting specifications into orders
Attend industry events, CPDs, and networking opportunities
Key Skills
Background in interior design, architecture, materials, or related field
Strong communication and presentation skills
Organised and proactive approach to follow-ups
Experience in a showroom, design studios, or specification sales role
Understanding of the architectural specification process
Knowledge of surface materials or construction products
