They work collaboratively with their clients to ensure efficient project delivery and minimum disruptions to operations. They have a flexible and innovative can-do approach which allows them to continually exceed client expectations and this has led to an enviable portfolio of repeat business.The Role: The H&S Advisor will help manage Health and Safety along with the HSQE and Site teams ensuring all persons on site comply with their Safe Systems of Work and relevant legislation and that safety policies are adopted and adhered to. Travel will be required to project sites across the UK and Ireland each week - usually Tuesday to Thursday, with Mondays and Fridays in the office. Key Responsibilities:Carry out regular risk assessmentsOutline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazardsDetermining ways of reducing risksEnsure all working practices are safe and comply with legislationEnsure safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed, and employees are aware of their responsibilitiesCarry out new start inductions with all new persons based in the officeEnsure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas relating to health, safety and welfare at workKeep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all health and safety legislation and any developments that may affect our industryEnsure equipment is installed safelyRecord incidents and accidents and produce reports for managementParticipate in meetings when required to report on relevant health and safety mattersLiaise with external health and safety authoritiesEnsure all persons working on our sites/in the office/in the workshop have the correct certification/cards to gain access to the sites and for the role they are carrying outEstablish a full programme of documented health and safety inspections, audits and checksManage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances e.g. asbestosAdvise on a range of specialist areas such as fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise and machineryProcure all necessary PPE and Health and Safety equipment required for the companyContinuously monitor and review H&S policies and procedures and implement changes where necessary.
