We are looking for talented and motivated Architectural staff to join our team working on a variety of exciting Industrial Manufacturing and Technology projects (IMT). Arcadis have an enviable reputation in this sector and are working closely with many blue‑chip IMT clients. Projects include giga factories, major fulfilment/logistics centres, complex manufacturing facilities, and data centres. The project workload will be varied and in addition to traditional design, we undertake technical advisory services too.
The IMT Architectural team is a wholly integrated component of the Arcadis Architecture & Urbanism unit. Collectively the 2nd largest Architectural firm in the world*. Thus intrinsically, our growth plans, strategy and technical ambition are truly global. You will join us on our evolutionary journey as we drive integration of digital innovation including BIM. We are striving to integrate standardisation and automation of design delivery.
Role accountabilities
* Participate in project delivery from initial concept through all RIBA design stages to construction.
* Collaborate closely with the in‑house multi‑disciplinary design team (architects, engineers, consultants) to develop coordinated solutions.
* Produce, review and maintain accurate, high‑quality drawing sets (concept, technical, and construction drawings).
* Coordinate drawing production across disciplines to ensure consistency, completeness and adherence to standards.
* Work with project leads to develop design proposals, incorporate feedback and refine technical details.
* Ensure deliverables meet programme milestones and contribute to projects being delivered on time and within budget.
* Maintain drawing/version control, issue records and standard templates for project documentation.
* Support design and coordination meetings, client presentations and design reviews.
* Undertake design compliance checks and quality assurance to meet regulatory and client standards.
* Liaise with external consultants and contractors to resolve design queries and ensure constructability.
* Attend site visits as required to inform design decisions and verify progress during construction.
* Respond to design changes and manage updates to drawings and documentation promptly.
Qualifications & Experience
* 4 – 6 years post qualification experience working on architectural projects.
* Experience working as part of a multi‑disciplinary design team.
* A passion for design excellence, and a desire to embrace new and innovative thinking.
* Exercise sound holistic independent judgement and take responsibility.
* Able to communicate well with others at all levels including effective use of English orally and in writing.
* Ability to work as part of a Virtual Team (with team located in different offices in UK and overseas)
* Must be an accomplished Revit user.
* Familiarity with Twin Motion, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, all advantageous.
* Must be an accomplished Excel and Word user.
* Photoshop and Indesign advantageous.
