MEICA Project Manager Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: 45 hrs/week Start Date: 11/05/2025 Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 per annum Role Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced MEICA Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex infrastructure works in the utilities sector, specifically water and wastewater. You’ll work closely with clients, stakeholders, engineers, and suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all phases of MEICA projects (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation). Oversee health, safety, and environmental standards on-site, ensuring full compliance. Manage and report on operational and financial performance against project targets. Coordinate design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. Supervise internal teams, subcontractors, and external consultants. Drive delivery to time, quality, and budget milestones. Maintain regular and effective communication with project teams and stakeholders. Manage all project-level risks, interdependencies, and resource requirements. Produce detailed progress reports, quality assurance documentation, and client updates. Develop and maintain strong supply chain relationships and value-driven procurement. Facilitate and lead regular safety, production, and quality meetings. Support future tendering activity and business development when required.Person Specification Experience & Skills: Minimum of 10 years’ experience delivering MEICA infrastructure projects, preferably in the water, wastewater, or broader utilities sector. Strong background managing complex programmes and multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated leadership in safety, wellbeing, and inclusive team development. Experience with NEC or JCT forms of contract and working with project stakeholders. Technically competent with a hands-on understanding of construction and commissioning. Ability to resolve operational issues efficiently while maintaining programme performance. Experience managing contractors and consultants, especially design-led supply chain delivery.
