Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant - Birkenhead
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people with additional needs?
We're working with a secondary school in Birkenhead that is looking to welcome a SEND Teaching Assistant to their team. This is a rewarding role supporting students who require additional academic, emotional, or behavioural support, both 1:1 and in small groups.
You'll play a key part in helping students access learning, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes within a structured and supportive environment.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting students with SEND throughout the school day
Delivering targeted 1:1 interventions and small group support
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff
What we're looking for:
Experience supporting students with SEND at secondary level
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Confidence working with a range of additional needs
A genuine commitment to making a difference
