Advanced Operative
The Role
Reporting to the First Line Manager the Advanced operator is a highly motivated pro-active multi skilled line \ area operative able to optimise production equipment to maximise efficiencies, with minimal waste and down time. This is achieved through the effective preparation, planning and organisation of machines, and completion of documentation. Driving a common sustainable continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
1. Ensure area / production line is ready by checking appropriate machines and areas are set to correct performance, food safety and hygiene standards.
2. Ensure equipment is working at optimum performance levels taking corrective action where necessary.
3. Conduct swift line and product changeovers through preparation, organisation and forward planning of equipment, manpower and materials.
4. Using the production plan to make sure sufficient materials are available to allow continual production, optimum running and flexibility of area / line to minimise downtime and achieve the production plan.
5. Advise FLM / Managers of any issues preventing the production plan being achieved.
6. Carry out process control checks at set intervals ensuring adherence to specification.
7. To act as a professional and trusted advisor to the First Line Manager on production and packing / distribution matters relating to the relevant area / site.
Skills and Experience Required
8. Level 2 Food Hygiene (or equivalent)
9. Production & Packing experience.
10. Experience of working in Chilled and frozen environments working with meals production, coated fish products and white fish processing products.
11. Knowledge of fish products, Production & Packing products around coated processing.
12. Efficient in delivering objectives and key measures.
13. Ability to take part in Production & Packing segments of audits.
14. Ability to manage priorities and projects across your area / line.
15. A personal commitment to role model behaviours and to setting the standard.
16. A working understanding of Microsoft Office
