 
        
        Freelance Opportunity: Impact & Evaluation Officer
Hours of work: 16-24 hours per week, over 2-3 days between Monday and Friday.
Salary: Applicants are invited to indicate their expected hourly or daily rate as part of their application.
Contract: Freelance until 31st March 2026
Based: 13 Scott Street, Keighley, BD21 2JH – while some remote work may be possible, candidates must be based within reasonable travelling distance of KHL to support in-person collaboration as needed.
KHL is seeking a strategic and analytically minded Impact & Evaluation Officer to support the enhancement of our evaluation methods, deepen data analysis, and develop innovative approaches to understanding client journeys and community-wide impact.
Key Responsibilities:
 * To conduct a comprehensive audit of existing evaluation tools and methodologies.
 * To align evaluation tools with strategic outcomes and reporting needs.
 * To create custom ways to measure and track the effectiveness of current delivery.
 * To enhance our impact measurement strategy to improve the strength and success of funding applications.
 * To focus on capturing empowerment outcomes – how clients gain confidence and voice through KHL services.
 * To lead the scoping and design of a robust client journey evaluation framework, launching in 2026.
 * To collaborate with team members to analyse existing data, improve data collection methods, and interpret key outcomes.
 * To co-produce logic models and theories of change for specific programmes.
 * To share evaluation tools, insights, and learning with colleagues to build organisational capacity.
This role description is not exhaustive and may evolve in response to the organisation’s changing needs. We value a collaborative, hands-on approach and will work closely with you to identify and prioritise key areas of focus during your time with us.
 * Proven experience in impact evaluation, data analysis, and strategic learning design.
 * Familiarity with community health, social impact, or VCS organisations.
 * Skilled in both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
 * Excellent communicator with a passion for amplifying client voices through data.
