Working Pattern:

Interview Availability:
Next week, Tuesday–Thursday, late morning to early afternoon

About the Role

We're working with a dynamic consultancy that's part of a wider group, known for delivering cutting-edge solutions across a wide range of industries—from consumer electronics and medical diagnostics. One of their standout projects includes a spin-out product developed collaboratively across the group.

Due to continued growth and an influx of exciting new projects, they're looking to bring on an
Electronic Engineer
to support embedded and electronics development. You'll be joining a multidisciplinary team of developers and mechanical engineers, working in a
production-scale environment
that spans everything from early-stage concept development to full-scale manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

* End-to-end hardware design: from concept to schematic capture, PCB layout, and debugging.
* Collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electronics with software and mechanical systems.
* Contribute to embedded software development, ideally in
C
(not just C++).
* Work with microcontrollers such as
ESP32
or
STM32
.
* Hands-on soldering and prototyping.
* Understand and design for user interaction and interface requirements.
* Support compliance and standards, especially in regulated environments (bonus if familiar with
IEC 6204
for medical devices).

Ideal Candidate

* 2-4 years
of experience in embedded software and electronics engineering.
* Able to work independently and hit the ground running in a fast-paced consultancy setting.
* Passionate and has their own projects they would like to show off.
* Bonus: Experience in medical device development or diagnostics.

Interview Process

1. Stage 1:
20–30 minute informal video chat with HM and a director from the consultancy – focused on technical overview and team fit.
2. Stage 2:
On-site technical interview (2–3 hours) – bring project work to showcase, complete a technical challenge, and tour the facility. Includes input from another consultancy partner.

Why Join?

* Work on a
huge variety of projects
across multiple industries.
* Be part of a
collaborative and innovative team
.
* Opportunity to contribute to meaningful products with real-world impact.
* Escape the contractor churn – this is a
permanent role
with long-term growth.
