Welder Fabricator
Key Information
* Position: Fabricator Welders - TIG, Stainless, mild steel - Permanent
* Location: Blackburn, Lancashire (commutable from Blackburn, Burnley, Bolton, Southport, Wigan, Bury, Preston, Blackpool, Keighley, Skipton, Clitheroe, Bury, North-West)
* Start: Immediate
* Salary: £17 per hour for a 4‑day week (Mon‑Thurs); overtime on Fri and Sat at £25.50
* Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00‑5:15pm, overtime Fri & Sat
Responsibilities
• Fabricate and assemble stainless steel and mild steel components using TIG welding techniques.
• Read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Perform sheet‑metal fabrication, including assemblies of fabricated and machined components.
• Apply pipe work skills where required.
Qualifications
• Proven experience with TIG welding on stainless and mild steel, gauges ranging from 0.5mm upwards, particularly large components such as tanks and pipes.
• Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings.
• Experience in sheet‑metal processes and fabrication.
• Experience with pipe work is beneficial.
