Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join a well‑established and highly regarded law firm on a permanent, full‑time basis in Coventry, West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a supportive team handling a varied and high‑quality caseload within a friendly and professional environment.
The successful candidate will manage a broad range of private client matters, providing expert legal advice to individuals and families while building strong long‑term client relationships. The firm offers a positive working culture, quality work, and genuine opportunities for progression.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of private client matters with minimal supervision, including:
* Drafting Wills and codicils
* Advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney (Property & Financial Affairs and Health & Welfare)
* Probate and estate administration
* Inheritance Tax planning and estate planning
* Court of Protection matters
* Trust creation, administration, and advisory work
* Advising clients on succession planning and asset protection
You will be expected to provide a high standard of client care, maintain excellent communication throughout matters, and ensure files are progressed efficiently in line with compliance and billing requirements.
The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives with experience in Private Client law. Whilst the firm is ideally seeking candidates with around 3–5 years’ PQE, applicants outside of this range with the relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, estate administration, and LPAs
* The ability to manage a caseload independently
* Excellent communication and client care skills
* Strong organisational and time‑management abilities
* A professional and empathetic approach
* Commercial awareness and attention to detail
Experience with trusts, complex estate planning, or STEP qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
